In the name of hardcore, legend Gammer and rising star Kayzo teamed up to create “Frequency,” which blew up last year. With a powerfully aggressive vocal sample and the high tempo that hardcore is known for, it was definitely a tune which made crowds go crazy. However, those bright and luscious chords in the bridge really sort of ended up going to waste.
That’s where Kayoh comes in. Kayoh took the beautiful chords and atmosphere and continue that aesthetic into the drop, layering cascading notes atop anthemic synth lines, creating an otherworldly feel. It’s as if Kayoh saw what was lurking just beneath the surface, and with a little tinkering, was able to make its true beauty come alive.
