1001Tracklists Presents The Top Artists Of 2016

As one of the world’s leading sites for tracklist identification, 1001Tracklists has accumulated wealth of data regarding what’s popular.

The site has already revealed the top five most-played tracks for the year, but now they’ve compiled a list of 2016’s top 100 artists. Their data-based method of ranking is heaps more legitimate than DJ Mag, and makes complete sense after taking a glance. Here are 1001Tracklist’s Top 10 Artists of 2016, along with the most-played songs they were a part of.

“We’re happy to present a new form of rankings – rankings based purely from our data that represent the artists that had the most cumulative unique DJ support on their tracks in 2016. While these rankings should not be taken as a ‘be all and end all’ list for the best producers in the world, they do offer a look at the artists who produced many successful tracks in 2016 in terms of instilling interest in other DJs to want to play these tracks. We hope you enjoy the rankings, and the full Top 100 can be found here!”
