Pacific Patterns — Sipping On A Vortex [Wormhole Music Group] [Free Download]

Hello there, lovers of low-end; welcome to 2017. Let’s get started on the right foot with some proper bass music.

Pacific Patterns, one of Portland’s premiere beat hustlers, dropped a new one yesterday and it is out of control. We don’t use that phrase lightly, but ‘Sipping On A Vortex’ warrants no other description. Glitchy, gangster vocal chops run headlong into wonky sub-bass patterns that are guaranteed to make your head spin. They warble and wobble throughout the track, backed up by hard 808 kicks and otherworldly yet minimal synthesis. There is a short interlude, but Pacific Patterns gives you only the slightest breath before you’re thrown back into the maelstrom. The heavily experimental vibes here invite comparison to rising names in the game like Holly and Noer the Boy, but he definitely adds his own unique flair.

To truly see (or hear) what we mean, you’ll just have to listen for yourself. Check it out after the jump and grab the free download from Wormhole Music Group if you’re feeling the vibes. But, wait, there’s more! ‘Vortex’ is part of a continuing series of releases called the Wormfiles; you can find the whole collection here.
