We’ve hardly stepped foot into 2017, but already one of our favorite producers of last year k?d is back and blowing us away with some incredible new music. Having made his mark last year with beautiful flips of some classic songs including “We Are Your Friends”, “Doin’ It Right” and more, he eventually landed a well-deserved spot on our 2017 Artists To Watch list.
Interesting artwork aside, “Genesis” exists in very much the same future bass mold that the rest of the young producer’s work does. As always, there’s a wonderfully cinematic element to this song that evokes the same ‘traveling across the galaxy’ mental imagery that the most of producer’s discography includes.
