The Chainsmokers Nominated For “Song Of The Year” At iHeartRadio Music Awards

The Chainsmokers pretty much snagged the song of 2016 with “Closer,” which stayed atop the Billboard Hot 100 charts for 12 weeks, and is still going strong at #1 on the Dance/Electronic Charts. The song isn’t satisfied to stay in 2016, however, as it’s just been nominated for “Song Of The Year” at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.

Up against songs from Justin Timberlake, Sia, Drake, and twenty one pilots, The Chainsmokers will no doubt face some fierce competition. However, we believe that they might actually have a shot at this one, only adding onto the song’s already exemplary record.

The Chainsmokers are also nominated for Best Duo/Group of the Year.
