It’s been a banner year for EDM over on Reddit. One of the biggest subreddits for electronic music, r/EDM, has been a great snapshot of where electronic music has been over the past year.
If you aren’t aware of how reddit works, users upload text or links and other users vote those posts up or down, giving a sort of heuristic idea of popularity among tracks and topics. One user, /u/FioMonstercat, decided to compile the highest voted track submissions of 2017 and the results are in. There’s everything from Porter Robinson and Madeon’s acclaimed collaboration, to San Holo’s breathtaking “Light,” and even Zhu’s “In The Morning.” Quite a few artists had multiple songs voted onto the list, but considering their widespread fame, we’re not surprised.
