The Weeknd’s Starboy LP debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and now the album’s title track has finally claimed the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 after 14 weeks.
Daft Punk’s first appearance on the Hot 100 was in 1997 with “Around The World,” which stretched only to the No. 61 position. Now, 19 years later, they’ve finally claimed their first No. 1 and The Weeknd has claimed his third. Comparatively, the French duo’s collaboration with Pharrell on “Get Lucky” peaked at a chart position of No. 2.
