Two weeks ago, Vanic performed a headline show in Los Angeles to a stellar sold out crowd. While he brought out K.Flay as a special guest for the show and, as you can see in the video below, brought his own stage production to boot, he also performed an unreleased remix of The Chainsmokers’ newest song, “Setting Fires” featuring XYLØ. Being signed to the same label imprint as The Chainsmokers, Sony’s Disruptor Records, it’s apparent Vanic could be their next big thing.
The remix has a lot more grit and texture than the original, playing off the future bass style but veering more into electro house. Though it’s only a short preview, we’re given enough to work with that we can be really excited about this remix – whenever it comes out.
