Another musical celebrity has jumped in on the Internet’s latest fad: the Mannequin Challenge. From Steve Aoki and Rae Sremmurd, Diplo, Marshmello, 3LAU, and Party Favor (all summarized in this video) all taking up the challenge when it hit peak popularity, this challenge has seems to be used up and the Internet will be focusing its attention on cats again and reposted memes before the next challenge kicks in. But before we bid farewell to the Mannequin Challenge, dubstep wonder Skrillex joined What So Not and about a hundred fans to do the routine just before it isn’t cool anymore (even though that’s debatable).
The video shows Skrillex, What So Not, and fans aboard a boat near Fiji out and about on what might be one of the artist’s more unique performances. What makes this edition of the Mannequin Challenge that much more astonishing is the fact that everyone maintains a certain stillness against a rocking boat and blusterous winds. Although shirts, flags, and hair are moving rapidly in different directions, every person’s body remains stationary as the song transitions from the Rae Sremmurd hit “Black Beatles” to the NGHTMRE and Flux Pavilion collaboration “Feel Your Love.” This has to be one of the more elaborate Mannequin Challenge since this sensation kicked off a few months ago.
Let us know what you think is the best Mannequin Challenge and if Skrillex topped it or has been topped way before this video was posted.
