HBO hasn’t seen a new television show develop such a following that Westworld has since True Detective first debuted two years ago. Since premiering in October, Westworld has quickly become one of the most talked-about TV shows on the internet.
Particularly high praise has been given specifically to the show’s score which has been put together by Ramin Djawadi who has some experience on high-profile TV shows having arranged the score for Game of Thrones as well.
Now, WatchTower Music has just put together a soundtrack compiling Djawadi’s work into one magnificent 34-track soundtrack compilation available for streaming now. One of the most prominent features of the soundtrack includes many instrumental covers of some contemporary classics including “Fake Plastic Trees” (Radiohead), “Back To Black” (Amy Winehouse), “Something I Can Never Have” (Nine Inch Nails), and more. All of these stirring instrumental covers, particularly the pianos, add to the mysterious retro vibe fitting of the TV show’s ‘science fiction/western’ genre.
