Anevo – Feel Something feat. Kayla Diamond [Monstercat]

screen-shot-2016-12-10-at-5-13-29-pm

Just six months ago, the Swedish newcomer Anevo took the spiritual seat as Monstercat‘s leading pop-EDM artist with the release of his label debut “Electric Heart.” The track was truly on another level musically, combining downtempo vocals and indie guitar plucks with poppier elements found in his hit remix of Adele‘s “Hello.”

Anevo’s transition from electro house to pop was an abrupt one, but seems to have been worthwhile. Combined, his remixes for G-EazyCalvin HarrisSelena Gomez and Years & Years have received well over 3 million SoundCloud plays and gained him the attention of DJs like Marshmello and Kayzo.

With “Feel Something,” Anevo is revisiting his pop sound more than ever before. The track calls back to the breaks-influenced contemporary R&B style found in Anevo’s last single “Don’t Shoot Me Down,” but with an even more consistent quality throughout. The production on “Feel Something” is undeniably catchy, with an insanely infectious lead melody that spawned this YouTube comment:
