After months and months of waiting, deadmau5′ new album, W:/2016ALBUM/, is finally here.
Though we’ve been able to hear many, if not all, of these songs over the past year, having them in a single coherent release is a fantastically new way to listen. Compared to a couple of his more recent albums, this album somehow seems more… authentic. Perhaps it’s because this is his first album release on mau5trap, not beholden to the whims of a major label, that he’s been able to do away with some of the typical single releases that he’s had to endure in the past.
Still, tracks like “Let Go” with Grabbitz and “Snowcone” are sure to send fans into a tizzy during a live performance.
And speaking of a live performance, after deadmau5 performed a live rehearsal for fans last night via YouTube, he released a set of tour dates that spanned some of the biggest cities in the country. Unfortunately, your city might be left out – that just means that you’re gonna have to travel. Check out the tour dates below and get tickets here.
