Our friend Steve James is back with his latest remix, this bonafide dancefloor killer remix of “Friend” by FRND.
As you might have guessed, the word of the day is “Friend,” but the lyrics in this one make for a passive aggressive jab at cutting toxic people out of your life, and Steve was enamored with it. He says that “it was one of the coolest tracks I’d heard in awhile” so he had to remix it.
While the original definitely had its own style and swagger about it, Steve James turned up the intensity to make the track exceptionally ready for the dancefloor, and he pretty much nailed it. With thumping drums and a heavier drop, you can now jump along with your friends to this tune.
