Check out the otherworldly video for the track “Ding Dong” by the “self proclaimed intergalactic artist by way of Korea named Hitchhiker.” The track was created exclusively for the Netflix original film XOXO and is featured on the film’s soundtrack released via Big Beat. The soundtrack also features tracks from the likes of Galantis and East & Young, Michael Brun and Grandtheft & Keys N Krates.
The video is an absolute trip, the silver robot suit-dawning producer both conceptualized and produced the video as an artistic digital play on modern communication. The track and video open with a middle-eastern sounding riff and a wide shot of some digital mountains. Then the the funky alien sounding beat hit and Hitchhiker is unleashing dance moves everywhere.
Beyond the suit, HITCHHIKER is also one of K-pop’s top hit makers via label SM Entertainment. His productions have backed many heavy hitting artists coming out of Korea including Brown Eyed Girl, Bigbang and Girls Generation just to name a few. Hitchhiker will be landing in cities around the globe to perform, and he’s hard at work on other evolutions, including a whole lot more music, videos, and even a toy line. He leaves off, “I want people to take away something positive from everything I do. Music can truly heal.”
