Despite the release of the highly successful Peace Is the Mission album in 2015, Major Lazer shows no signs of stopping down. Their hit single “Cold Water” with Justin Bieber and MØ marked the first single off their upcoming album Music Is the Weapon, scheduled for release in January 2017. As this year draws to a close, we’ve learned more about what new tracks will accompanying the group’s fourth studio album.

After previously revealing two new singles would release in January on their Beats 1 radio show, Major Lazer members DiploWalshy Fire and Jillionaire dropped the news that one of those singles will be a collaboration with Nicki Minaj and PARTYNEXTDOOR. The as-of-yet untitled collaboration will reportedly release on January 6, as the three told Billboard during a red carpet interview before the American Music Awards. No details have been mentioned on the second of the two new singles, but the upcoming album will feature the likes of SiaThe WeekndGwen Stefani and others. Keep your eyes peeled for more Major Lazer news as we approach the new year.
