Kanye West has been having a rough go of it this past week. After storming out of two shows, cancelling others – and then the entire tour – it seems like everyone must be against him.
Last night, West was hospitalized “for his own wellbeing and safety.” He was taken in handcuffs for a psychiatric evaluation at an LA hospital, but at the time not much more was known about the situation.
Information has now come forth that West’s own personal physician was the one who made the 911 call, warning that he was not currently violent but may become violent once the police arrived. 
The call was made under a false name, and it was said that the patient “suffers from temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration.” Kanye West was reportedly placed on 5150 psychiatric hold, which essentially gives authorities the ability to involuntarily confine an individual if that person is suspected to have a mental disorder that “makes them a danger to themselves, a danger to others, and/or gravely disabled.”
Kanye West’s current condition isn’t known.
