With the American Music Awards (AMAs) right around the corner, it’s that time of the year where nominations start to flood in. This probably won’t surprise anybody on the planet, but The Chainsmokers might cap off an extraordinary 2016 with a win in the New Artist of The Year category.
Despite making their breakthrough in 2013 with “#Selfie,” awards programs seem to think that The Chainsmokers are brand new and worthy of the title. They were nominated in the same category at the MTV EMAs, but ultimately lost to Zara Larsson.
Voting is open now for fans, but with the actual show set to air on Sunday evening, voting will be closed at 5:59:59PM PST on November, 20th – one hour into the show which will start airing at 5PM PST. Vote here for The Chainsmokers or any of the other nominees for the prestigious award, Alessia Cara, Zayn, Shawn Mendes, or DNCE.
