Producer Vourtsanis has just released his latest original work, this time in the form of a smooth and highly stylized hybrid track with help from Keren Abreu. “Untainted” is divided into multiple distinct sections, each representing completely new soundscapes and vibes. The result is a meaningful and consistently interesting take on an assortment of genres and production approaches.
It starts with melancholy piano chords and Keren Abreu’s solitary voice above light percussion hits and atmospheric swells. Soon, layers of flutes, bells, voices, synths and unique percussion elements wash over one another in a smooth and gentle arrangement. The cycle repeats once more, before dropping back into a visceral section full to the brim with spectrum-wide synth ripples and explosive drums.
