LA-based producer LIONE is officially the first producer to release an original track on Martin Garrix’s imprint label, STMPD RCRD’s besides the label head honcho himself.
Today Lione released his debut STMPD RCRD’s single “Leave This Place.” From the track cover artwork to the actual song itself, a futuristic anime-inspired theme is felt throughout the entirety of the listening experience.
The moment the track began I observed a Porter Robinson-infused vibe due to the similar yet iconic floating arpeggio synths. Of course there is absolutely nothing wrong with being inspired by other producers in the industry. Indeed, a producer’s perpetual inspiration and fascination with others’ music is what helps keeps the scene alive and thriving. 
With shimmering cosmic synths paired atop warming vocals, “Leave This Place” creates for a happy & poppy unique journey through sound. Check out what Lione had to say about his track below:
