EDM’s big stars love Los Angeles and the surrounding areas. Just ask Avicii, Zedd, The Chainsmokers and more who have bought huge homes there in the past couple years. Now, Skrillex is joining the party in Malibu after purchasing a 1.1 acre oceanfront lot for $6 million.
Skrillex has lived in the Arts District in downtown for years, but it seems he’ll soon be moving to the ocean in a luxury planned development with 17 properties on 80 acres. Skrillex’s own home will be nothing to scoff at, either.
According to the LA Times, “the lot includes approved plans for a flat-roofed, Doug Burdge-designed modern residence of more than 12,000 square feet. The planned centerpiece of the estate, a 160-foot infinity-edge swimming pool, will stretch nearly the length of the grounds, which includes more than 200 feet of frontage.”
And we don’t doubt that there will be a state of the art studio in the property, as well. Below are mockup images of the property. (Seems like Skrillex is a big Edge of Tomorrow fan, too.)
