Lege Kale has just uploaded his latest original track, this time in the form of a downtempo hip hop heater that features his own vocals. “What I Need” is accented by phrases from his cousins and brothers as well as a leading rap from the man himself, culminating in a vibe even more personal and meaningful than Lege’s usual productions.
It begins with distant, muted vocals until Lege’s voice breaks into the spotlight. An authentic hip hop percussion section eventually takes over the tempo while soft background tones keep the flow moving forward. Funky stings and a warm sub bass add to the groove while the vocals continue to demand the main focus until a jazzy trumpet solo brings the track to its close.
