As it does every year, the DJ Mag Top 100 created a lot of outrage with the EDM community. If not for logical reasons, then something else entirely, but outrage nonetheless. Many people are fed up with the concept of a “top xxxx list” altogether, opting to let the music do the talking as it should.
But what if there was a better alternative? Twitter account and infamous whistle blower The FPIA, aka Fake Producers Intelligence Agency, wants to make that happen. It’s just launched a new DJ Awards that aims to #MakeDJsGreatAgain.
It’s not clear at this time what kind of metrics or system will be put into place to govern the awards, but we’re excited to see what becomes of this.
