Most people Wednesday nights usually involve a night at home, a home cooked meal, maybe some late night Netflix binging. However, Denver’s club fanatics prefer to ring in the middle of the work week with a late night party fit only for the craziest dance music fans out there.
Making its way through Denver, the Lunatic tour, featuring masked mystery Malaa and mau5trap’s very own alien queen Rezz, hit this past week and was it anything but tame. Turning Club Vinyl into a mad house of dance inducing house and head banging bass that had the whole building shaking. Kicking off with Denver locals Freddy Rule and TheHundred’s own Option4, the night was off to a rowdy start as people flooded in as soon as doors hit.
As Malaa took to the stage, fans roared in anticipation for his signature g-house infused sound that had the entire club moving uncontrollably. After an hour long set filled with all variations of our favorite house tunes, including an extremely enthusiastic crowd sing along to an edit of Disclosure’s “When a Fire Starts to Burn”, Rezz hit the decks with her unique dark tech sound and entrancing LED goggles. Opening up with song wobbling tech hits, Rezz instantly was greeted with Spock hands and roaring cheers. Captivating the crowd with some throwback Bassnectar and Zeds Dead, along with a set filled with an abundance of her own tracks, the Lunatic tour closed out for one of the craziest shows I’ve seen on a weekday in Denver in a long time.
