I can’t have been the only one who was slightly disappointed in the recent Knife Party & Tom Morello collaboration. For such a crazy collaboration, in my eyes, it just didn’t live up to the hype. Now, with a new remix out from Ephwurd, I can finally hear what the collaboration should have sounded like in the first place.
Ephwurd takes the weird and off-kilter drop and throws it into overdrive with pounding bass house and a relentless rhythm. Yeah, Knife Party hasn’t produced bass house, but by the sound of this remix it would have been the perfect opportunity.
And if you’re looking for a more bass-heavy remix that still makes heavy use of Morello’s guitar riffs, I direct you to the Brillz remix.
Both remixes, in my opinion, are vastly superior to the original – but I’m sure others will be quick to disagree.
