DJs React To This Year’s New DJ Mag’s Top 100 Rankings

Another year of DJ Mag’s Top 100 has come and gone, and every time all it seems to do is get the dance community all kinds of hot and bothered, and not in a good way.

Everyone from Dillon Francis to Eric Prydz had something to say about the results, with most of the commentary pertaining to the list being a joke. But there were still a few who took the time to congratulate Mr. Martin Garrix on a well earned #1 title.

No one is upset at Martin Garrix for winning the top spot and claiming the title of youngest #1 DJ ever; most of the hate is directed towards how much emphasis is placed on these relatively meaningless rankings. 3LAU made a great statement yesterday about the ranking’s relevance to booking fees, and how the list doesn’t directly affect how fans enjoy an artist’s music. And as such, here are the less satisfied reactions:
