After more than a year and a half since Major Lazer‘s crowning glory “Lean On” was released, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have finally decided to release own twist via a remix uploaded earlier this week. Coming as a “present for [their] loyal fans,” the flip is now available for free download via the duo’s official site.
Despite being named a “Tomorrowland Remix,” DVLM didn’t play out the track at either of their two Tomorrowland appearances since the original song’s release. Perhaps it was a remix that was set aside but never used, or the fact that it’s a [Snippet] could mean that it might see its live debut during next year’s installment.
The preview itself begins with a relatively untouched introduction from MØ, leading into a regular drop from the original with a few tweaks on the main vocal chops. Soon, the tempo picks up and the song is thrust into an electro-fueled, pounding festival banger more typical of the DJ duo.
