I got this single sent over to me before the weekend and I’m not even the least bit ashamed to say that I’ve pretty much had it playing on repeat since then. Matt Kali was once known for his YouTube covers but he’s now graduated to songwriting with original work like this brand new single “Don’t Make Me”.
“Don’t Make Me” is a wonderful blend of indie pop and future bass music. The single blends in the delicate indie pop vocals with warm synths, chimes, cool samples, muted vocal pitches, and excellent sound design overall to create a wonderful hybrid tune that’s sure to appeal to fans of both pop and bass.
