The Weeknd & Daft Punk’s collaborative hit, “Starboy,” is just that. The first time that it appeared on the charts, it had only been out for a day or two, entering at #40 on the Top 100. Now, after its first full week on the Billboard charts, “Starboy” hasn’t yet knocked out The Chainsmokers, but it has risen all the way to the #3 spot on The Hot 100.
This moves Major Lazer & Justin Bieber’s “Cold Water” to #4 and DJ SNAKE & Justin Bieber’s “Let Me Love You” to #5.
The massive climb is due to “Starboy’s” combined sales, streaming, and radio play, which has tucked the single just behind The Chainsmokers’ “Closer” and Twenty One Pilots’ “Heathens.” If you haven’t already, do yourself a favor and listen to the highly discussed return of Daft Punk.
