New Louis The Child! Everybody’s favorite ‘yet to come of drinking age’ duo has returned with a new single “Fire” with vocalist Evalyn and surprisingly (to me at least) they’ve switched things up with a slow-moving R&B-laced burner.
As always in a Louis The Child release, the highlight can be found in the chorus with their patented ‘Flume-esque but with shriller synth usage drop’. Evalyn’s vocals are sweet too, but the brilliant progression from slow-moving intro to get to that future bass drop has me convinced that the young duo has all but mastered the art of arrangement and songwriting at this point.
