Did You Know DJ Snake Made Music for Pitbull, Lady Gaga, and More?

The Parisian producer and electronic musician DJ Snake has made waves in the music scene with his versatile creations and his collaborative efforts. From his heavy, energetic anthems like “Lunatic” with Mercer and “Propaganda” to his more melodic takes like “Talk” with George Maple and “Middle” with Bipolar Sunshine, DJ Snake has made moves in the last year to become one of EDM’s titanic forces and a rising name in overall pop music.

But did you know that DJ Snake has also made music for some of the biggest names in pop music? Although DJ Snake (real name, William Sami Etienne Grigahcine) emerged around 2013, he had been working with other artists since 2009 when he produced the song “Shut It Down” by Pitbull featuring Akon. The following year, DJ Snake was the producer behind another Pitbull song titled “Vida 23” with Latin pop singer Nayer.

From here, DJ Snake was enlisted for work with Lady Gaga to work on the track “Government Hooker” for her sophomore record Born This Way. In the same year, DJ Snake produced the reggae-pop anthem “Shake Señora,” working with Pitbull once again, and then a song with Jordan Knight of New Kids On The Block for his third solo album Unfinished.

When DJ Snake began to appear in 2013 with songs like “Bird Machine” and “Turn Down For What?”, the man was also a composer for Lady Gaga’s third album Artpop. It was here that the French producer was behind the works, making songs like “Sexxx Dreams” and “Do What U Want” with R. Kelly. But of the songs DJ Snake worked with Lady Gaga, it was “Applause” that reached massive commercial success.
