This morning concluded the bidding war for DJ Hanzel x Drezo‘s collab vinyl. The single, “Anxiety,” was pressed exclusively on this one vinyl and has yet to be released by the either member of the collaboration. The track was previewed last year by Dillon Francis and has only been played out by Dillon himself. This level of exclusivity is unparalleled and is something that DJ Hanzel is very proud of.
The vinyl, sold on ebay, had a description written by DJ Hanzel which said,
“The record which is pressed exclusively on 1 vinyl is officially available for auction on eBay. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Vh1’s Save The Music Foundation because no one is making deep enough music these days so hopefully the proceeds from this record will inspire at least one child to finally go as deep as DJ Hanzel.”
The vinyl was sold for a whopping $11,400, and as mentioned by DJ Hanzel, will benefit VH1’s Save The Music Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to restoring music programs in public schools across America. Hopefully one day we can see someone go “vuhn deepa” than DJ Hanzel as a result of this generous donation.
