Bee’s Knees are one of the few acts in dance music that have manage to get their name out there with funky disco-laced house music. But, with this remix of SNBRN’s “Sometimes” they venture into deeper-than-usual territory while still retaining that disco flair.
The vocals are naturally sultry to begin with making this the perfect track to work a disco-inspired remix around, but the boys have seemingly pitched them a bit lower to great effect and removed the vocal chops in the original (thank God). Instrumentation is nice and flashy as well, the saxophone interludes after each chorus pairs nicely with the gushing bassline to provide a funkier-than-usual element to balance out the deeper-than-usual bassline.
