Boys Noize Discovered an Unreleased Daft Punk Remix Of N.E.R.D

Since establishing Daft Punk in 1994, Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo have released a surprisingly low number of remixes in their 22-year career. But now, thanks to Boys Noize, we’ve got our hands on another elusive Daft Punk rework that never officially saw the light of day.

Last night on Sirius XM Electro, Boys Noize played a tribute mix for Daft Punk’s labels Crydamoure and Roulé. At one point, Boys Noize takes the mic and explains that he has the white label copy of N.E.R.D’s “She Wants To Move” (Daft Punk Club), but the track was never unveiled to the public.

The vibe of the remix is certainly dated, but it sounds like Daft Punk through and through, with traceable embellishments back to the days of both Homework and Discovery. Even more exciting is understanding their history with Pharrell’s N.E.R.D, likely a precursor to their the Grammy winning collaboration, “Get Lucky.” Have a listen below, don that sequin sweater, and get to shimmying.
