No one expected Aphex Twin‘s comeback in 2014 when he released the album Syro, and now his steady stream of releases seems to be a return to form for the enigmatic producer who went dark for years. On the live show front, though, Aphex Twin only played a few shows in Europe over the past decade, abstaining from the U.S. for eight years…until now.
Houston music festival Day for Night revealed to Billboard that Aphex Twin will be officially playing their event, marking his first U.S. show since his set at Coachella in 2008. The rest of the lineup will be revealed on September 14, and this news bodes well for a festival that is only in its second year of operation. Day for Night will take place on December 17 and 18 in Houston, Texas. Last year the festival booked the likes of New Order, Dillon Francis, Nicolas Jaar, Flying Lotus, Madeon and others.
