Australian vocalist and musician Chet Faker took to Facebook on Thursday to reveal a piece of startling news to his base of loyal followers. According to the post, seen below, his next record will be credited under his real name, Nick Murphy.
He goes on to say, “Chet Faker will always be a part of the music. This is next.” Whether this means that Murphy will be abandoning the Chet Faker moniker for good or if he’ll eventually be returning we can’t say.
Regardless, he has already taken to his Soundcloud page and made the name change to Nick Murphy (Chet Faker).
