SoundCloud has made a coding error during some routine maintenance, and done something unthinkable: Private tracks were made visible on user profiles and feeds between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm UTC on Tuesday, September 6th.
They’ve done their best to remedy the damage, resetting the secret links for all affected tracks, but who knows what’s been heard, and/or ripped from the site due to the mistake. So far, no leaks have surfaced on the internet, but SoundCloud promises they will “work hard to prevent it from happening in the future.”
