Since KSHMR teased his collab with Tigerlily, we’ve been waiting eagerly for it to drop. Knowing his own Indian influence would be meshes with Tigerlily’s rampant desire for dancefloor mayhem, we knew that it was definitely worth waiting for.
Premiered exclusively today through Billboard, “Invisible Children” doesn’t disappoint. Influences from both artists are clear, even though the track wasn’t originally meant for KSHMR. He revealed that Tigerlily initially took the track to Tiësto who suggested that she send it to him, and the result is obvious. The title of the track has a slightly deeper meaning though.
“[Invisible Children] comes from a term referring to slum kids in India,” KSHMR told Billboard, “and places around the world where poverty is so rampant that people begin to stop noticing.”
It would be great if there was some kind of accompanying charity to go along with a track so clearly intent on bringing light to a little known issue – and there still might be one coming. For now, we can still have fun dancing to a fun tune.
