Deadmau5 recently treated fans to a live streamed recreation of the Stranger Things theme song, but now, a fan named Broken Music has done us all a solid and uploaded the cover’s audio to YouTube.
Similar to the hype behind the Drive soundtrack, or AMC’s Halt and Catch Fire, Stranger Things has spurred a resurgence of 80s synth wave that’s all too welcome in today’s scene, and deadmau5′ analog endeavors are the perfect complement. In the cover, deadmau5 bends the theme in an array of fashions, adding tempo and embellishments in all the right places to make this a new fan favorite.
