Producers BLU J and Indiginis have just teamed up to release an original collaboration with the help of vocalist Molly Moore, “Hallucinating.” Coming as a fascinating hybrid between future bass, dubstep, trap and more, the constant evolution of the track’s stylistic direction is easily its most defining feature.
It begins with soulful piano chords and scattered percussion below a warped vocal piece before the old-school future bass rhythm takes over. An eventual swell leads into the first drop, where the vibe is instantly transformed into a spacey trap heater with sub warbles and distant, high-pitched vocals. Molly Moore’s take center stage again before the track ascends once more, this time dropping off into spectrum-wide dubstep growls and wipes.
