It’s been seven years since the infamous 2009 incident that left Calvin Harris banned from The X Factor. The incident, of course, was rather innocuous, but enough to get showrunner Simon Cowell furious and ban the DJ/producer from the program.
Now, it seems that the ban has been lifted, as Harris is expected to appear as a guest judge at Nicole Scherzinger’s Judges’ Houses segment in Nice, France next month. It would be Calvin’s first appearance on the show since he was escorted out of the studios.
Even as recent as 2014, Calvin said he and Simon had a “mutual agreement to stay away from each other.” However, sources say Simon approached him last year to tell him his ban had been lifted.
