Here Are The Top 5 Remixes of The Chainsmokers & Halsey’s “Closer”

It’s been quite a week for sensational EDM duo The Chainsmokers, as their most recent single with Halsey, “Closer,” climbed to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 100 chart and reached platinum status in Australia, even beating out Major Lazer’s “Cold Water” on U.S. streaming services.

With only a few weeks under its belt and such a monumental reception, the track has already received a veritable outpouring of official and unofficial remixes from all across the music spectrum. Whether they be legitimate EDM flips or more stylized vocal covers, the extent to which “Closer” is influencing the comunity is quickly becoming clear.

Below, we’ve compiled a short list of the Top 5 “Closer” remixes to hit the Internet as of this week. Although we suspect more heavy hitters to releases their own versions in due time, these five should satisfy any lover of the original wanting to experience the track in a brand new setting.

(in no particular order)

#1: Two Friends x Class & Clowns

A melody-focused, bubbly future bass swayer with piercing, high-pitched echoes and an unforgettable, intimate vibe to finish.

#2: SJUR x SAXITY ft. Strøm

A lively male-vocal cover with warm, upbeat saxophone riffs and an ever-evolving emotional center.

#3: Simone Castagna

A powerful and euphoric progressive house heater with the festival stage in mind. Full version available for free download.

#4: Anki

An increased tempo and creative use of percussion gives this remix a unique feel unlike any other. Combined with the funky base melody and welcome dubstep elements, the flip takes the original to completely new heights.

#5: Huey Mack, prod. by Sean Ross & Just Acoustic

A remix broken down and reimagined from square one, featuring rap vocals from Huey Mack and a lone acoustic guitar. New lyrics and a slapping chorus rhythm breathe new life into the original, adding in personal anecdotes and stories unfound in The Chainsmokers’ take.
