Whethan – Can’t Hide (feat. Ashe)

I know it’s silly to use these kinds of metrics to justify how good or bad a song might be but the fact that Whethan‘s debut original single has over 100K streams on Spotify in just over a day is absolutely mental.

As mentioned previously, Whethan might only be 17 years old but he’s already working with Skrillex which seems like a pretty good start if you ask me. The whistling intro is something I’ve honestly not heard a lot of it and it adds a warm summery influence on a song which already features brass influences and soothings vocals from Ashe. I’ll be honest. I definitely didn’t expect Whethan to explore the pop world with his debut original considering how his remixes sound, but that’s really made the entire listening experience all that much better once I was able to close my eyes and realize just how versatile the kid is.
