mau5trap’s We Are Friends, Vol. 5 Out Now

The past couple weeks have been absolutely phenomenal for electronic music, to say the least. Porter Robinson, Madeon, ZHU, Zedd, Skrillex, DJ Snake, Major Lazer, The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Zeds Dead, Diplo, Tiesto, and Jauz, just to name a few, have had huge releases within the past 30 days. This Friday is no different. Breaking the dance music headlines this time around is deadmau5 and his friends over at mau5trap.

With over 13 new tracks on We Are Friends Vol. 5, besides deadmau5’s very own “Saved,” Joel definitely knows how to add to the month of giving by keeping the new tunes coming. Everything included, from BlackGummy’s dark eerie techno, Neus’s dark progressive house, No Mana’s beautiful chord progression, Matt Lange’s nine minute remix to Eekkoo’s “Hell Is Other People,” Enzo Bennet’s progressive masterpiece “Naga” and mau5trap’s fastest rising talent & queen of dark techno, Rezz, as she releases her latest track “Voice In The Wall,” first played out at Camp Bisco no less than a month ago.

The entire mix is a complete infusion of dark, progressive, electro house and techno sounds bound to be on repeat for a long time. It’s quite uncommon for mixes nowadays to get a lot of exposure due to the saturation of constant DJ sets being uploaded to the internet on a daily basis, but We Are Friends Vol. 5 is bound to stay in the spotlight for awhile due to high caliber roster of names put forth on this compilation as well as downright good tunes we’ve been looking forward to from mau5trap for sometime now.
