Christina Grimmie Posthumously Wins Teen Choice Award

Last month, multi-genre singer Christina Grimmie was tragically shot dead after a concert while signing autographs for fans. The 22-year-old was a finalist on The Voice and already had a well-established, promising career and was set to work with some of the biggest names in the industry across all genres. Grimmie was a backup singer for Selena Gomez, and there were even reports of her being in the studio with Dirty South just days before the tragic shooting. While only speculation remains for what her future would have sounded like, we’re left with what she had already released, and even that proves just how talented she was.

Christina’s music has posthumously earned her a Teen Choice Award, an award that she had dreamed of winning. More specifically, Christina was given the Choice Web Star: Music honor by beating out 5 other popular groups to win the award, a fitting tribute to Christina’s name and career.
