Grimmie was a backup singer for Selena Gomez, and there were even reports of her being in the studio with Dirty South just days before the tragic shooting. Christina’s music has posthumously earned her a Teen Choice Award, an award that she had dreamed of winning. More specifically, Christina was given the Choice Web Star: Music honor by beating out 5 other popular groups to win the award, a fitting tribute to Christina’s name and career.
