It’s been a while since February, so we’ll forgive you if you forgot, but Skrillex & Marshmello have a collaboration together. Originally teased via Snapchat by Skrillex, the collaboration sounded like it had a healthy dose of influence from both artists, with Marshmello’s highpitched stuttered vocals and Skrillex’s immaculate sound design. However, it has been five months since that first teaser, so chances are good that the collaboration has changed quite a bit since then.
Thankfully, it doesn’t seem like we’ll have to wait long as Marshmello teased the collaboration’s release yesterday on Twitter, saying that it was coming soon. The ambiguous phrase “coming soon” is a thorn in the side of many music lovers, but in the fast-paced world of EDM, that likely means we’ll be hearing it in the next couple of weeks.
