Production duo ALLxCAPS have just released their latest remix, this time in the form of a slow and sensual flip of Anik Khan‘s “Renegade.” Featuring sweeping future bass synths alongside a broken and minimal percussion section, the original’s vocals are able to shine through in new and enticing ways.
The tracks begins with distant marimba hits and the slowly encroaching swell of the vocals. Scattered bell hits and a steady kick series soon take over the focus, before spectrum-wide wipes of synth and powerful snares transform the vibe. The song continues to evolve and overlap, adding and removing layers as the vocals anchor everything to a consistent timeline.
