Alright, so our Day 1 pick was Tiësto, and it would have been nice to choose a lesser known act as our favorite of Day 2, but we can’t deny The Chainsmokers’ brilliant performance under the enchanted treehouse.
So much more goes into a great set than just proper track selection, it’s up to the DJ to manifest a certain atmosphere, and it’s up to the crowd to openly trust the artist to do their thing. When these elements come together, and the vibe and venue coalesce into their own beautiful dance, it’s a special moment.
Belching segments of Jungle Terror, high energy electro, bouts of progressive, destructive trap, and intelligent mic use all teamed up for an incredible show from The Chainsmokers. Twisting in some Kanye, some Bieber, and of course the ever important Red Hot Chili Peppers crowd favorite, Alex and Drew commanded the main stage with a flawless atmosphere.
