Ookay took to Facebook earlier this week to present a video recording taken from a recent live set. The minute-long clip shows Ookay playing out “some new music” in the form of what we can only assume is an official remix of Jack Ü and Kai’s “Mind.”
The original song was included in the duo’s debut album, released in February of 2015, as one of the work’s more downtempo and intimate pieces. Ookay’s new flip introduces a brand new strain of energy and tempo, crafting a sound very similar to that of Marshmello: relentless, underlying 16th-note pumps lay the midtempo foundation beneath a soaring, high pitched melody and vocal chops.
