According to Nielsen’s recent Mid-Year 2016 charts for the top Dance/Electronic material, The Chainsmokers currently hold the #1 positions in both the Albums and Top Selling Song categories.
Their album Bouquet, released in October of 2015, earned an overall equivalent of 228,000 units during the period from January 1, 2016 to June 30, 2016, beating out Major Lazer’s Peace Is the Mission in second place by around 43,000. According to Billboard, “Equivalent album units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums [TEA] and streaming equivalent albums [SEA].”

The album’s leading singles, “Don’t Let Me Down” and “Roses,” also occupy the first two spots in the Top Selling Songs and Most-Streamed Songs categories. “Don’t Let Down,” which featured vocalist Daya, was sold 1,217,000 times and streamed a whopping 205,025,000 times. “Roses” was sold 830,000 times and streamed 191,038,000 times.
