Ben Pearce Cancels All of 2016’s Remaining Tour Dates Due To Mental Health Issues

The trouble that DJs and touring musicians of all kinds have with mental health issues have been a well-documented issue in the community for some time now. From Avicii to Carl Cox to Deadmau5 and more, plenty of high-profile superstars within the community have spoken out on the record about their battles with depression and how that’s affected their ability to tour.

Earlier today, Ben Pearce joined that list when he took to Facebook to announce that he would be cancelling all of his remaining tour dates in 2016. A glance at his Songkick tells us he was slated to play at Creamfields Festival in August and also Manchester Pride’s The Big Weekend among other gigs.

While the news will come as a disappointment to Ben’s fans, I’m sure all of them, everybody really, can relate to Ben’s situation and I’m sure they’ll all agree with me when I wish Ben a speedy recovery. We all hope to see him making music and touring again sometime in the near future.
